The faces behind the app
We're James and Alec, two drummers who met in band over fifteen years ago.
We marched drum corps, taught high school and independent groups, and ran more rehearsals than we can count. But the tools we had never quite kept up with the way we practiced, rehearsed, or wrote. We wanted something more flexible, more programmable, and honestly, just more enjoyable to use.
So we made it.
Subdivide is a rehearsal engine — the comprehensive practice tool we always wished we had. It brings together a metronome, a tuner, click tracks, and an audio cue system all in one place. Built for musicians who live in the details, it's smart enough for complex practice and simple enough to stay out of the way when you're locked in.
We started Tap Five to bring ideas like this to life. We design and build everything ourselves, with care and with the same mindset we brought to rehearsal: get a little better every day.
We hope Subdivide helps you take your rehearsals to the next level. And let us know how it's working for you — your feedback drives what we build next.
