Sections
Build it the way the music is written
A track is a list of sections. Each one has its own tempo, time signature, subdivision, accent pattern, and number of bars, from 10 to 400 BPM and up to 16 beats per bar. Give each section a label to keep track of where you are in the music—rehearsal letters work great here.
Transitions
Accelerandos and ritardandos that flow naturally
A transition takes a starting and ending tempo and ramps between them over the bars you choose. It can hold several sections of its own, so a ritardando that crosses a meter change still sounds like one gesture.
